A sunny Sunday enjoy brunch with friends and a road stretches miles with a smile.

Nothing more a beautiful could be a day. We enjoyed the first morning show of the movie, snacks, fun and lots of talks. Finally our last sip of coffee and we headed to our next destination, a mall to buy of household stuff. Got quite a long list of items stocking for next two weeks.

Indeed a busy working schedule does not allow us to shop everyday or come to the mall. Latter heading towards home, we suddenly started discussing the cricket match.

My friend, instantly logged into his mobile internet to see the scores and instead of score, he shouted at the core of his throat, “There is a hike in the petrol price”. We should have filled our bike yesterday night, since from today the petrol shall be costly. My friend and his wife were so upset about this. Suddenly I got stuck in mind that me and my hubby had never spoken about the hike in petrol. Never, though the hike in petrol hits every alternate month these days. Quite strange was for us to react.

There was quite a silence in the car. Only radio FM was playing high notes and everyone was in a numb stage. After ten minutes, my friend said, ‘you made a good decision definitely’

We wondered what he meant regarding, of course it was about our car, Fiat-Grande Punto Emotion in Hip Hop Black. It was a perfect and easy choice to make. It was exactly what we wanted and waited more. This small car features is no less than any other big car. Moreover it is a diesel car which has an EcoDrive a complete new service component which offers the ability to track driving with efficiency. It collects data about CO2 emissions and fuel consumptions by saving them to a USB key, which can then be connected to a PC and analyzed. It posses the most powerful engines have electronic stability program and anti slip regulation fitted. These engines are also environment friendly and Euro 4 ready.

It’s been two years and there might have been twenty times prise hike of petrol but our priceless Punto carved with perfection and diesel oriented acts strong creating a long lasting bond.

No wonder our fellow beings and friends who bought car of other brands same time when we bought Punto are every month facing a hike bumper to cross with pain. Lucky we are having great time in relishing long drive in Punto.

And when I’m with my Punto, nothing stops us but the long lasting sweet memory of good drive and a satisfaction to feel that an expense made ones a while earlier was an investment saving our future and fuel simultaneously! Punto diesel makes the journey our reward. In city it gives a mileage of 13-14 km and on highway 18-20 km with a/c on, well quite decent I must say! With punto we need not worry about price hike :)

Workplace

12:30 noon and meeting follows.
4 files over the table scattered.
Blue, red, green and yellow with priorities hitting
Just realised the work finished within half a day thrashing hope.
Easy, sometimes relaxed yet bound to series of expectations!

Waiting for more work
Wondering nothing but ‘All’
Sitting and yawning.
Suddenly realised clock hand revolves into 5:30.
Removing the spectacles positive point two in number

Crossed hands
Silent still
White barrier wall
Though blank yet filled with unknown thoughts
Clock ticks the unspoken vibes
And one hour passed immediately

Numb, unchanged
Peon peek a boo and action time hinted
Cleared the throat and concentrated thoughts
Sit up straight.

Got up to check the plant
Stretched upwards
Standing yet lost and dull
Disappointed unconditionally
Made a random round,
With puzzled face
Everything working fine and a stagnate mind-set.



Nothing much
In a week this happens three to four times, making me weak!
Certainly severe stress
But blindfolded to next new moment..

Cafeteria, chat and coffee break
Listening light music with strong sips
Surrounding warmth in my mouth!

Thank God for inventing Coffee!

A long day is over...
Settling down with the sliding sun...
Finally with flying colours of aroma in coffee cup!

Perfection at its best – Best Cake in Bangalore

When you eat cake does it make you think anything....?

Well most of the time I’m so into the cake and chocolate that I forget all my stress of the day and indulge into the sweetness of the cake. No doubt studies on chocolates have proved that Chocolate works as a stress reliever apart from adding as a tint of celebration in life.

In the beginning of this month, it was my uncle’s birthday; he brought a chocolate cake at home. Well what is so different about that cake...okay...it is just a cake, a silly chocolate cake!

O Heavens! It is chocolate cake...and nothing casual about it, I swear!

I being a foodie am very specific about food and texture it bring while eating. Apart from while eating and enjoying the moment, I look forward to the flavour and feeling that brings in mind and mouth latter on after eating.

“ That day chocolate cake was heaven melting in mouth leaving a long lasting smooth texture of pure dark chocolate. But the thing that struck me about the cake which makes it unique is that after three days keeping in the fridge, it tastes the same. The cake lives through the same as the day it was made fresh. The sponge sandwiched between the chocolate layering making a high layer note. They are still intact, sweet, soft, and moist at the same time not at all soggy or mushy in nature.

Well this is the best part of the cake that after three days also you are not disappointed and feel the same rejuvenation after having even a small bite of the heaven chocolate cake. (Of course I love cake but I can’t eat 2.2 pound cake in one day :P )

Few days back again, it was my marriage anniversary, I thought of getting the cake from that same place. But for a change I thought of having a Vanilla/fruit cake.

“Now how interesting could be the simple fruit cake, decorated with fresh kiwis, pieces of pineapple, red juice cherries on top and raspberry sauce layering in between dashing a sweet tangy the vanilla flavour sponges. Well I know, it sounds usual but what matters at the end of the day in the cake is the cream. The rich cream and so well prepared that even after three days the cream does not tastes sour at all.

It was just as so sweet and so smooths rich in texture, just an absolute perfection lasting longer in mind as a sweet memory of the flavour and food.

Yesterday in a party I interesting got an opportunity to meet those chefs + team who are simply magicians in the bakery.

Young, smart, vibrant...wonder who says one need to be old to be skilled and experienced. One being skilled is God Gifted. And definitely such chefs are gifted who pays attention to little details which reflects perfection in very gesture. Passion diffusing in all little and big efforts bringing in smiling at the guest face. A guest, who remembers and recalls every sweet memory that sweet smell and taste buds created by the chef in the kitchen and celebrates every day.

I still remember and recall the chef who made cake at my birthday in my childhood. (ref. A life time journey from Bombay to Mumbai) And always lots of blessing flow from heart for them who makes our days so unforgettable and exclusive.

Now I give a credit to the techniques taught by the establishment/hotel which teaches some major secrets to create some exceptionally marvelous recipes and also absolutely I adore the gifted skills of the chefs working practically putting together the secrets of the establishment rules and skills of personal experience.

When we asked them, what is the secret of their awesome work? They did not say anything but gave a smile! I think even they are not aware what every time clicks into the perfect cake...is it the recipe in total or an individual skilled hand making a difference or the texture and temperature of the dish!

I believe the secret ingredient of the perfect cake is the happy mood motivating the cake sweetening the celebration!
