  • This post is an attempt to bind friends together, bind the memories and travel through time back excatly TEN years ago, which halts at School the best days of my life, creating eternal bond!
  • Kindly bear this post as a long one! Hope you enjoy the joy in the  journey of true words!

09.02.2001

Today was a very nice day! The assembly in was conducted by the “Kanaklata House”. (There are total four houses in school, Kanaklata, Kamakhya, Brahmaputra, Nilachal..names based on the mountains and river of Assam)

  • NEXT:
In the morning assembly Korobi and Jaya’s (JayaLalita) Birthday was announced. We all clapped a loud. Interestingly the twist was, Today was not Jaya’s Birthday. It was a huge surprise not only for Jaya but also for us. She kept staring our faces in the shocked expressions. Me and Payal were busy in holding our giggle on the corner of the stage. We were noticed by Srikant Sir (My English Sir)! Though I guess, he must have made out that it was our mischief. Perhaps, this Time it was’nt we! They were our dear chasing classmates Boyzzz!

  • NEXT:
Today the students of the “Hindi Kakshya” (room dedicated in the school for Hindi Subject) were asked to sit in the class X-B during the free periods, as Gosawmi Sir (Our Hindi Sir) did not turn up due to certain reason.

I, Payal, Sahana, Namita, Korobi, Babita were in the group enjoying in the class.
Payal was singing songs of the film “Mohobattein” and I with Sahana was trying to picturesque the whole song by dancing and doing weird acting. There were many incidents in between that took place while we were dancing. Those incidents are really very funny and almost impossible to express in words. Total hilarious mountains! While I’m still writing the verdict, I’m smiling alone in the room where nobody is around.

There was no pause over our laughter. Really, Sahana made each and every passing moment so funny. I was the Heroine and she was the Hero of the song sequence. We did not slip even one beat of the song. She grabed my hand and took me into her arms and gracefully just like SRK left me to dance on my own. Seriously we could even give run to the real stars…we were so good into dancing. Payal was our tape recorder. Stopped and got forward in all the songs that we wanted her to sing. We had a great time together, laughing and singing. Namita, Korobi and Babita were the live audience, applauding to our moves!

Anupum Sir was teaching us Physics. It was a nice class, why..!
Let me tell you what happened today. He came into our class and took out a huge book and searches randomly some very confusing problem. He wrote the question on the board. Then asked us to find the solution of the question.

I and Payal looked each other face insanity. She lifted her eyebrow to ask if I knew it. My facial expression expressed that I was also in the same boat with her. Soon we were observed by Sir. He came to us and first asked Payal, “Bujhi sa (Do u Understand!)”. She said “No”.

He leaned forward to her desk, shifted all her books on to many side of table and wrote the whole solution on the desk with the chalk explaining the equation. When he was writing on her desk I was also trying to understand and simultaneously copied the same in my notebook. The moment he was done with it, he abruptly rubbed and cleared the solution with his hand. Well this is the way he always does.

Soon he gave a glance over me, and asked, “Understood”. I replied, “No Sir”. He gave a cute little smile and explained me too in the same manner each and every step of the equation. This was really very sweet of him, taking so much of pain to explain. But I still could not get the formula right. Perhaps, mean while I was also busy in sniffing the cool sweet cologne he had used today. Apparently, he is popular in school for his cool strong Colognes!

  • NEXT:
Today was also a CCA (Class Cultural Activity) program’s drawing Competition. The topic was “PICNIC WITH THE FAMILY” for the seniors and “NATURAL CALAMITY for juniors” (I come into senior Category). One hour were given to complete the painting. Srikant Sir(our English Teacher), being the co-coordinator of the CCA program was present there for the whole ONE hour.

His presence of disturbance for me started with a strange compliment!
He said, “So you been learn drawing at home..”,
I replied instantly, “No, Sir”.
~ At this with a strange laugh he replied, “What! You don’t learn drawing and get the first prize every time by itself.”
In some firm yet humble tone, I said, “Sir, This is my hobby.”
His was looked happier to my reply that drawing is my hobby.

So here from given one hour, I lost my 5minutes and 55 minutes started:

Then for next ten minutes I kept thinking, how stupid topic was given to draw.
I wondered, “what made Sir decide such topic, PICNIC WITH THE FAMILY..”

Again, the next ten minutes I brought some scenery sketch into my mind and tried to lay same on the drawing sheet.

Within next ten minutes I finished my drawing and was ready to color it. By the time, numerous times Sirkant Sir kept disturbing me by standing around me. I really can’t concentrate to paint or draw when people are around me, especially when people are teachers.
~ I feel very uncomfortable, when somebody is constantly staring me and my drawing which is yet to be completed. It was one of the most irritating moments of the hour.

Soon keeping an eye on the time passing by, I tried in completing my painting as quickly as possible. I thought, I already lost five minutes talking to Sir and rest minutes in thinking about the weird topic.

In my painting, PICNIC WITH THE FAMILY, I made a huge umbrella set on the banks of the river, under which a husband is sitting and feeding a child, next to it a wife playing with their little daughter and a cute puppy with the ball around. An air is blowing breezily and the woman at the same time is enjoying the scenery.
And suddenly Srikant Sir commented that the woman should be sitting there and play with the baby and the man must play with that little girl.

I wondered again, “it is just a painting Sir..why go into so much details…”
Moreover, I was contradicting with his views too!

Anyway, I confidently replied, Sir this woman is of 21st century, thus she is enjoying the beauty and bliss of the place, where as the man is sitting under the ORDERS given of his wife to take care of the little child.
The answer was full of logic and laughter filled the room. I even noticed Art sir at the corner laughing a loud at the answer.

Okay, this was one the Jamuni (in Assamese we call it as funniest..) and most memorable moment of the day!

  • NEXT:
Finally with all the best wishes of my friends and juniors of the school…my painting was complete at the dot moment.

  • NEXT:
I mostly while painting, don’t watch what others are painting. It gives me tension before hand! And it results that I start doing the worst, while I worry. This is what I today experienced when I somehow saw from a far distance, the drawing of Purnimal, Somyajeet (Both my classmates) and Ravi Shanker (Ultimate painter, Brigu bhaiya’s younger brother).

  • NEXT:
It is really bad of me. In a way, I can see that mostly what I think happens. May be it is the will-power or just a sheer co-incident. While I was painting..(Honestly! I dint wanted to happen things so bad for anyone) I was thinking of Purnimal and Somyajeet. It was just a blink for a Micro second a Negative Thought that Struck in My Mind. Finally I was surprised to see the things turn up this way. Both the guys did a beautiful drawing…simply expraordinary..but both were a truly unlucky..as their paintings were incomplete.

It was a strange experience observed!

In the Last period, we found these applications. Something that we are learning in our English class, to write Notice and Application! Interestingly we applied it to our real daily life too!

Leos of MY Life

© 21st Century Tiger

The symbol for the sunsign Leo is the Lion. They are strong-willed, walk with pride, loves growling tends to be mushy almost like cute small lion cubs. Their major traits are being born leaders and highly focused at the target. They are generous, kind, extremely supportive and protective people. There are many people we come across our life but there are very few who last for life-long. And those are titled as dear friends, who are there for you and with you supporting. They believes in you and are willing to trust you at any circumstance. I have always believed  that it’s wonderful to have few close friends as they remind you how you were in your young age. These friends know all your secretes and the inner most thoughts. "I can be simply just ME with them without bothering what they will think about me." This allows exploring thyself more at every aspect.

At different stages of my life, I found friends, who got so much close to me and surprisingly I realised they were Leos! Their influences have been so positively intense and have been my aspiration. Here remembering the Leos of My Life and wishing them Happy Birthday.

Tanushree Baishya :

Birthday: 13th August.

I know this lady since our school days. We have done our education together in KV(IOC), Noonmati, Guwahati, Assam. We studied together from ClassVIII to XII. Those were the wonderful years and the most memorable times of my life, the "Teen Age” when we together with other friends had so much fun and creating menace in the school with our teachers and above all seniors. After completing our schooling we opted different careers and hence choose different lines of higher studies. But we often during our college vacations made sure to hang out with our other close friends and talk like hell! I like to call her "TWINNY" , as in school many people often got confused in identifying between two of us. May be it’s because we had almost similar hairstyle, same uniform and quite a same body structure. But in reality we are very much different.

She is bold with a gentle touch, which makes her so special. Her honesty not just defines her personality but portraits her Brain. Who says ! She forces people to appreciate her and give compliments because I strongly believe that ones you see her, compliments for her comes very naturally to you . She is an absolute divine beauty with brains.
No one in this small world is born who can win in argument with this LEO because she does her Homework well and in advance. And how can one forget that she have been always a rank holder.

As well definition goes from one of her friend "This is one girl (Tanushree) who has been with me, rejoicing with me in my success and consoling & supporting me whever I was low..." is having a same opinion like me.
Even though I haven’t met her since last three years, but I still feel same warmth, affection, care, trust, and above all hear the long Lectures Session. Tanushree, the Leo Lady has made us all proud with her works, deed, strength and love she shares.
I wish you all the happiness and success in life and may you achieve whatever you desire for. Moreove she reminds me of the qoute , "With clothes the new are best, with friends the old are best."

Amit Semwal :

Birthday: 19th August.

This Creature is also a LEO. I know him from past three years. We first meet during our interview for MBA at IITTM,Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh. Infact, we were in the same group for the group discussion. He made blunder after blunders during the whole event with senior and with the teachers but was still smiling. He is the only person in this world who acts stupid yet smart simultaneously. Well these traits are of Genius. By this time reading, he must have toppled down the chair laughing and holding his stomach. But buddy amit, get up, as I simply mean it, all above mentioned. I am so proud to be his friend. He is a true inspiration, aspiration and adore his trait of having equal feeling for all as a true Human-Being. When we participated in an art competition, where it was necessary to be in pair, I requested him to accompany me though I had no idea how to deal with the person like him. But when we actually one the first runner up prize the first thought strike my brain was that "We gel well".

He is very supportive but at the same time very much willing to take risks and also drag others to take risks. It’s because he is an innovative man, and making mistakes from the risk taken comes easily to him. His ideas might sound weird instantly but those are indeed the head turner for the society. “My best friend is the one who brings out the best in me”, and fits to the quote so well !
He have so much inspired me ever since I know him. I even wrote a blog for him "THE PHOTOGRAPHER, i captured". May you keep capturing the great pictures and our hearts with you warmth and your innocent smile.
Please, go through the video of the wonderful pictures taken by him in last three years. It is, "Amit in Wonderland". Click here: COLLECTIONS VIDEO.

Bhupesh Koli :

Birthday: 15th August.

He is My hubby is also a Leo and hence I can't exit without appreciating him. He is a typical Leo, flamboyant and generous simultaneously. He has wonderful instant sense of humor. I'm so glad that he can cook, infact cook so well. Sometimes such small things really matter a lot. His been truly a great friend. We tend to have different style in approach of decision-making which makes us highly complementary and effective. The best thing that has happened to me is that he taught me to be less critical and more spontaneous. We have recently celebrated our first wedding anniversary and I realized that after one year,

“He is still that same adorable, sweet guy who treats me better than anyone ever has in my life making me feel so much blessed”.

Here is the poem dedicated to the Loving Leos of my Life...
POEM - Impossible

by Priya

Free and release your mind

let the world know

what a wonderful person

you are.

Life is to live and rejoice

let that spirit

make you

stay alive

surrounded by love.

I know you like to flirt,

lie and

still capture

my heart, with fluttering eyes

and make me surrender.

I know, I stay faraway

only to let you know

you will always be

in my thoughts.

If you ever shed a tear

think of me

coz to

forget you

is something impossible.

A Window to the Past - a bicolor painting

A trail into black and white has been really very much deeper than what I expected. What I love about this Zebra-colour painting, with its beautiful curves, patterns and designs. Because this painting is different than what usually people make, I shall tag it as “Unconventional ART but in the willful way.” Almost all colours fade in front of this bicolour painting.

I appreciate, and heartily thanks for this piece of Art and the written thought process given by the creator to publish in the blog.

" Well…where to start? All I could say is that it is my first painting ever…I thought I was a goner in these type of artworks but there you are….the owner of this blog said it could be worth something so here it is…..I call this genre as weird artwork…..as you see that I never ever liked what you all call ‘modern art’…..its just plain, ugly….and a little sad(if truth to be told)…so what’s better then to start a new style….I’ve experimented and here is the result…..maybe you wont like it.

I’ve really tried to make this painting as eye catching as I could….wanted to be sure to make this absolutely memorable. Idea was hovering in my mind for quite a few weeks which then took shape and presently in this form.

I want to dedicate this painting to an anonymous person who made me a much better person, untapped the bitter face of life for me….my life then was never same as before. Look up closely ….I’ve painted her name somewhere…

Between you and me….particularly this painting mean a lot to me…gazing towards it opens a window to the past…..all memories, pain, endurances becomes more clear then ever before .I’ve put all my effort, my imagination, my pains, grief and sorrow to my first painting and very soon I am going to make a new one which would be greater and better then the debut. Look for it.

Please mail me your thoughts and your suggestions at- nations_of_dominations@hotmail.com , will surely love to hear from you. "

Taare Zameen Par - a Colourful Childhood

a zone to make mistakes..
a state of freedom
a pulse of innocence
a curve of happiness

"Let the Childhood be Carefree and full of Creativity.."

"Taare Zameen Par" is all about this and a lot. A must Movie to watch and go back to our childhood aspirations. When I was watching the movie, instantly I could relate myself to it to many instances.. as more having a keen interest in Painting since childhood.
And surely the realization of the Mighty talent was through the encouragement of Teachers. I still remember how in "GREMS, Baroda".. Madam KARUNA GUPTA asked me to paint in class-II "The Republic Day", in which I guess, she thought I was expert. There has been CHANDRIKA Maam who believed in my potential & gave me lots of opportunities to participate in varied painting competitions. This gave me lots of exposure and confidence in painting. Indeed their presence made it possible to know my aspirations.

It was then in my next school "KV(IOC) Noonmati, Guwahati", when my aspirations somewhere became the inspirations. And it was Dr.A.K.Goswami Sir who not only appreciated my skills of painting but also encouraged me with his magical words. I believe it has been his blessing that I today excel in the field that I always wanted to be. Its not about good or bad but its about the how one follows the heart.

Teachers play an important role and I am glad that I have been blessed by some of the best teachers, who helped me to get connected to my inner soul.
The journey have been great..and the teachers of my school made a difference into my life.
"There is always one moment in childhood when the door opens and lets the future in." - Graham

That moment has been created by my faculties. Check out my colourful world through this link - http://www.freewebs.com/rachanashakyawar/

"Taare Zameen Par" is the movie of the young boy who turns out to be a tiny star in his own creative way inspite of what the world thinks of him. This got possible only with the support and affection of his empathetic teacher. One who helped him in sorting the difficulties and ones again introducing the boy to the lost world of colours, he has been so passionate about.

Three cheers to Eshaan Shanker Loy, who composed awesome music ,which is so much real, breathing and living with true aspirations of child, yet simple to sing.

One movie which reflects the child of Today's World, struggling and fighting against all odds, expectations, competitions and ambitions that are thrown by his parents and rules laid by the society. So I feel, this first movie directed of Aamir Khan deserves 5 stars (*****). He have this knock-out concept of movie with heart-warming performance and the eight year old guy marks himself to complete victory. But in all that The mom role cant be ignored, who have been so calm sweet emotional spirit, which hold the scene with so much sensitivity and care. Each sheded tear made one and all in the hall to cry. Such is the intensity of the aura of the movie which have captured the child's innocent world.

But the only thing that haunts me is why only that boy was given the result to be winner in the end of the story, when it has been promoted, "EVERY CHILD IS SPECIAL". I beleive they should have made few more winners with the main lead boy, so that we could assume that the boy have come struggling all his way to get into the list of NORMAL students, yet being so SPECIAL, with his Mighty Talent. Anyway, its just the thought but the thoughts factory generated by watching this movie is vast than what imagined, a ride into my own childhood, rembering school and teachers, and above all, other one result is the blog dedicated to it. Enjoy this movie..!!
