Women Empowerment

Happy Women's Day - 8th March,2012

ladle in her hand...
(Read remaining lines of Haiku on Women's Day HERE)

For me “Woman Empowerment” stretches from major issues to some very tiny details. It’s more and beyond gender-equality, decision making, or choice to create personal like or dislike list or promoting the role of women in society.

I look forward to unbiased access and sharing of resources like property, credit etc and backing for being entrepreneur by the family and society. A genuine care for the sanitation, right nutrition and other health related issues in all the phases of age. Perhaps, absolutely not ignoring or forcing to do something just for the sake of tradition, cultural, society pressure or sheer superstition.

A proper frame work has to be broadened to view the multi-dimensional aspects regarding HER well-being, physically, financially, emotionally, politically, socially without disregard of the basic daily routine acts of compassion where we find single mothers, divorced woman, harrased teenage girls, conflict behind closed doors, selling them like cattle, cheating and cursing with disease and perhaps not cheering for the girl child birth.

“It's not about giving liberty to woman...
but treating her just like any individual liberally!

I’m so proud and blessed single child of my parents; I completely support girl-child education as the first major step to enrich the woman-empowerment!

If you like reading more of what Woman want...which is in itself the most difficult question, to my understanding I have mentioned few concrete points to follow, how to treat any woman right! LINK: Women's Era
And further I request you to kindly go through at least ones to this lovely poem, I wrote sometimes back reflecting a very important social issue related to woman. LINK: Pretty woman walking down the streets

Love Quotes Love - Romantic Poem

This post is a dedication to words and great poets of the world and poets of this vast blogger world.!

For some weird reasons
I have for a long
Avoided certain words
Absolutely unsure
About their importance
And for some silly reason
I have began loving few words
Together creating waves of words
Adore each letter
Accepting the impact of verse
Being in love again!
Just when I found such words
Few words like love and care
And for peculiar fondness to pray
Words for someone special
Essence for the one who embrace
Found words except for I was lost
Lost in the depth
Dedication in words
Wonder why I write the way I do...
Chattered away
Carried away
Building castles
Careless breaths
Pale silent shadows
Chisel out
Erase aloud
Shape up a straight story
Whole life story in a little stanza
Scribbled in thoughts
Apparently untying loosening for love
In cared warm words
Concurred with presence
Proclaim concealed feelings
Passionately steer recollections
Sizzled few quotes unquote
Unforgettable lines
Unwritten prose
Unspoken words
Unheard rhymes
Wavelength converse eternally
Spark to evaluate concord!
Picture above is from a Hindi Movie 'Phir Milenge' featuring Salman Khan and Shilpa Shetty.

Someone is Special - Haiku

messed up day turns up memorable day

The picture below is taken from a Hindi serial 'iss pyar ko kya naam doon' featuring on channel StarPlus.

I melted away
Burning down
The darkness
Light up the Life
Fenced in boundaries
Build the bridges wide
Messed up all long day
And with someone special too
Love way you still love

I was fussed in drawing lines
Crossed to get Closure
Countdown begins here
Many momentous moments
Few messiest merrily
Awaited to count!

Rollicking Affair - Valentines Day sayings

just as you said...Be my Valentine!

So why do I love You?
Because,
The night is so dark with shattering twinkle stars
A long and long night waiting to get over staring moon beaming behind the clouds
To get over the night and get closure to you, Dreaming only of you!
I thought, a longing night is a long trail of recollecting old felt memories with you!

Because,
The sunlight did not ask before brightening my room and delighting my day,
While facing the warm sun with eyes closed,
And sun gazing me is worthwhile,
I thought, I was kissing you with closed eyes!

Because,
The lightening behind the bamboo blind fits within the frame of an opened window,
Digging my room into the darkness
While I heard a rumble of loud thunder vibrating my heart
I thought, you called my name in your heart and I got hiccups!

Because,
The breeze which I could not see
But the mad meadow danced on it's rhyme
While I pretended to ignore and not see it at all
I thought, you blow gently under my neck and I could feel your presence!

Because,
Summers moved slowly
Autumn elopes steadily
Winters slipped in between
Spring came so swiftly

Because,
Dark cloudy long night urge,
Sunny bright morning prayer,
Thundered life mustered,
Cool breeze in sigh dismay,
Missing rain embrace!

Because
Just as you softly whispered,
I got goose-bumps,
I followed your every move,
Your every said and unsaid word heartily felt
And before you could think, 'I love You too', I said!

covert affair - Haiku

A Haiku 5-7-5 written for Haiku Heights - Prompt # 98 - Covert

appeared Care in veils
flashed out of the Bolted doors
vice Covert Abuse!

“
  • There is numerous kind of abuse. Yet not always yelling or hitting hard is only left abuse. Someone might just ignore you, be rude and rough with you are considered equal cruelty. And obviously you know that you are being insulted for nothing and utterly abused!
  • But covert abuse is subtle and disguised by actions that might appear to be normal, at times loving and caring. Covert abuse leaves you with doubts, insecurity, feelings of foolishness, jealousy and acts of mysteriously strange frightening.
  • Yet most of the time one never take any action against it, being in uncertainty of circumstances and fluctuation partner's behaviours. They are simply so unsure due to their own lack of insight into their feelings.Same things get repeated and the situation gets worst.
  • Though such victims may experience the abuse on every single little moments turning into weird issue. They will still keep wondering if abuse is occurring at all, indirectly weakening the bond of the relationship.

Haiku to my friend

This Haiku is dedicated to my dear friend as a little effort to inspire the world. And state that I’m so proud of my dear friend about...well you will read in the Haiku and story related to it mentioned below. Hope You like it!!

Complex obsession,
It’s not good to live with it..
Quit smoking shows guts!

A Haiku 5-7-5 written for Haiku Heights - Prompt #94 - Obsession

F ew days back I had a talk with my very old college time friend with whom I wasn’t in touch for many years. It was a great surprise to see my friend on the social site and now in my friend’s list.
I suddenly remembered that during my college days, my friend used to smoke a lot. I had always found that very uncomfortable to see that my friend was damaging thyself fitness with excessive smoking and indirectly affecting health of the people around too by passive smoking.

I was very much aware of the fact that more often during college days children tend to choose many new habits and weird practices.

“Smoking is one of them extremely difficult to leave, under the pressure of the pears and friends and for the sake of silly show-off or untamed pleasure seeking. I'm so sorry, fagging and boozing doesn't makes you cool in any way!

Just when I got in touch with my friend again, my friend reminded the first thing that I used to always ask my friend to quit smoking then. Of course I knew, it was the most difficult thing to resist.

I asked again in curiosity to know if my dear friend still smokes. I continued saying my friend that, “You must be clear in your mind that Smoking is not without which you cannot live or spend few hours!”

Definitely life is beautiful and there are billion of things other left to continue, follow and cherish in life.

Adding bliss to my amazement, my great friend instantly replied, “I choose that smoke not something you live with..!”

Well that's the spirit! So proud of you dear friend!
Indeed quitting smoking reflects not just the will-power but also individual’s guts.

Coffee Day

A popular song lines goes like, 'Wake me up when September ends!' and I always pondered upon the line. I realize on the last day of the Haiku Height Challenge so let me announce that I just woke up into a 'new world of words'.

The credit goes to dearest buddy Leo, who is a profound blogger with a blog 'I rhyme without reason'. He has been always so inspiring, supporting and generous enough to teach me the true essence of prose and haiku combination. Just in case if you are (Leo) reading dare you laugh on lines above...Since I mean it all. I'm extremely proud of you and feel blessed to cherish a blogger-bond with you..perhaps you should know by now ;) Indeed, YOU and your prose are the only reason for me to try my hand in writing Haiku :))

Perfect Poise

Beautiful Picture below is contributed by my very dear friend Aishwarya. Thanks a ton dear!!
The Height of Haiku Challenge, Day 27-Prompt#85 Poise
for Imaginary Garden with Real Toads: You animal!

Settling inner war
Best friend stray dog far from noise
Poise mind in progress!

“The dogs found on the Indian streets are referred as Indian Pariah Dog.
The word pariah is derived from a Tamil word first used in English in 1613, to refer to the lowest level of the traditional Indian caste system; in English, it is used to mean "a social outcast”. The Indian feral dog was considered an outcast as well. The term "pariah" when referring to feral or wild dogs of the Indian feral dog type is sometimes replaced with primitive, in the sense of "relating to an earliest or original stage or state" or "being little evolved from an early ancestral type". It is assumed that dogs placed in "pariah" or "primitive" groups are of an older type than other modern dog breeds. Future genetic testing may show the actual heredity of these breeds or types.

Not many people know that The Indian Native Dog (INDog) is an ancient autochthonous (landrace) type of dog. It was featured some years ago on National Geographic Channel's film, 'Search for the First Dog'...ref. Wikipedia

“These dogs extremely alert, social and are capable to adapt and survive in the extreme conditions of the environment changes. When in today’s scenario people love pets especially dogs, they pay hefty amount to buy the best pure breed of dogs, yet are not willing to support the stray dogs. Adopting the stray dogs in India could give a good life to Indian street dogs and also create a whole new prospect of loving dogs and one of its kind setting examples of giving a change to the dogs which need little love after all.

  • Turner and hooch

the long drive of my life

The drawing below is created my thyself as a part of Rachi Creations..

Hopped into new car
Boozing takes my breath away
Sprint steers dire end life!!

The Height of Haiku Challenge, Day 25 - Prompt #83 - Poet Choice - Breath

...if you drink don't  drive mixing both is short-cut to undue lost of life..
“Absolutely a boring statement to make, ‘Do not DRINK and DRIVE’!
When there is a celebration, people drink and celebrate the moment, of course a legal choice of an adult to feel privileged, relaxed, happy and fun loving.
However, endangering your own life and your loved one sharing a seat in the same vehicle is not so much fun.

If you drink DO NOT DRIVE!
Drinking and Driving both are fun, but Do not mix them.

People tend to take silly challenges in ego from friends in a group and agree to have a short racing of cars at the highest speed and the irony is that the moment to show off an attitude, it a short car race becomes the short-cut to undue death.

They say, "Drinking makes you feel like flying in heaven"
Perhaps if you think so, you definitely are near hell!
Just BE Careful!
